How To Draw a Tiger using Pastel Pencils

//How To Draw a Tiger using Pastel Pencils

Difficulty: Beginner

Learn how to draw this Portrait of a Tiger using Pastel Pencils. This picture was a starter pack that I sold thousands of in my years demonstrating and travelling to exhibitions around the UK.

The starter pack includes an outline drawing, a reference picture and written instructions teaching you how to draw each section step by step. I’ve also included a full video lesson below that I recorded recently.

This is a great picture for those just starting out using Pastel Pencils or those that are more experienced.

I used just 6 Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils to product this picture: 101 white, 184 dark naples ochre, 186 terracotta, 273 warm grey, 176 van dyke brown and 199 black.

Colin recommends pictures to be drawn at A4 size, you can scale up your pictures using square drawing grids or you print the line drawing bigger.
