Instructions

For this course we originally designed to only show how to draw eyes but then decided to do the hair.. until we decided to complete the portrait. So for this reason the lessons might appear in a strange order.

We recommend doing the lessons in the order they are shown below but to get an idea of skin tones and the techniques of applying the colours for the face, please watch the beginning of the “Lips and Teeth” Lesson.

Drawing Eyes

Learn how to draw these eyes in pastel pencils. Colin recommend using Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils and Fabriano Ingres Pastel Paper. You can print the line drawing below directly to the paper using your printer.

Pencil Numbers: 101, 103, 187, 132, 273, 283, 157, 140, 184, 109, 113, 118, 190, 181, 175, 199 (+ 558 “general” white charcoal pencil – optional)
