children in pastel pencilsThis was the hardest area of the picture so far as although it was a plain colour I used many pastel pencils to create this unusual colour tone. Add to that the lace work and I had to think long and hard to find the right approach. However I feel the struggle was worth it and I think the dress looks stunning. I am particularly proud of the lace work on the sleeve, I have done lace before but this was better in my opinion. Notice the folded back edge of the laced sleeve where it touches the arm, these are the tiny touches that give you that extra buzz.
