prismacolor pencils vs pastel pencilsWe received a great question via our "Leave Voice Message" button in the bottom left of the site asking:"What's the difference between Prismacolor Pencils and the Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils?"Unfortunately they didn't leave their details so we can't get back to you personally, but here's the answer to your question :)The main difference between Prismacolor pencils and pastel pencils is that Prismacolor is oil based and pastel pencils are chalk based. Prismacolor are able to blend into each other or they can be blended using a spirit solution such as 'Sansador', whereas pastel pencils blend together perfectly without the use of a spirit medium. It is possible to erase the pastel pencils using a conventional eraser but the prismacolor are more difficult to remove once applied. If you want to leave us a voice message then click the "Leave Voice Message" button on the bottom left of the site.
