Critique vs Feedback

example pastel pencil picturesI have always been against giving a critique for someone's artwork because I have seen the results of the sometimes destructive effect it has had on the artist. I was in fact subjected to this unpleasant experience early in my life and it took a long time to get over it.However constructive feedback is a completely different matter. When a student asked for my help in a painting they have completed I was happy to point out where they can make improvements, this is not cruising but giving much wanted advice. Over the years I have only seen smiles when this advice is given and the students work always improves because of it.Therefore we're introducing a bonus for members "Picture Feedback". Send in your picture and we'll post the feedback here on the blog. Send your emails to my email address: colin@bradleygallery.co.uk.Not a member? Click here to Sign up and join Colin Bradley Art.
