Lyn sent in this great question regarding choosing colours:

“Hi Colin, I have just started out with pastels and as yet don’t have the full set of Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils, but could you tell me what colours I need to collect for doing skin tones please.”

To begin with, a good range would be – 101, 103, 132, 230, 187, 283, 190, 118, 183.

There are others but it does depend on the skin colour and the reference picture that you are using. We will discuss this question further on next week’s podcast (Fr 17th March ’17).
