Using Pencil Extenders

derwent pencil extenderPencil extenders are a great tool when your pencils are getting right near the end of their life. Personally, I don't chose to use one as I didn't really get on with it. I found them to be a bit unstable. So now when my pencils get too short, I use them for fill up work on backgrounds.I did have many student's when I ran my weekly classes that used them and if I was to pick, I'd say get a metal one. You can get extenders that fit almost all pencils or at least adapt to all pencils. If you're not sure which one to get, take one of your shorter Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils with you, try it out there in the shop and see how stable it is.Do you use a pencil extender?
