My Favourite Pastel Pencil Painting

Ricky has sent me a good question and I thought I would share my answer with you all."Hi Colin, I was wondering if you did your own pastel pictures of subjects that you like personally and which is your favourite picture that you have produced and are proud of.I know all of your work is brilliant and I still really enjoy following your tutorials. I am looking forward to the next surprise picture. Thank you for your help."Ricky asked me if I had a favourite painting of all the hundreds I have done. Usually I say that the last one would be high on the list but in truth there have been a few that I was particularly pleased with. Many years ago I did a German shepherd that I loved doing and was very popular as a exhibition piece and a print.German Shepherd in Pastel Pencils by Colin BradleyAnother painting that stands out is one I did of Windsor from an original water colour by Louise Rayner a great Victorian watercolour artist, this was very involved but fun to do.Windsor Original002The largest painting I ever done was in 1986 of Polperro harbour in Cornwall. This painting hangs in our lounge and is much admired. Ricky also mentioned that he is looking forward to more surprises when we unveil the new paintings on the members site, well I can tell you that in the coming months there will be quite a few. One or two of those will come close to the list of my all time favourites. To join as a member of Colin Bradley Art and learn to use pastel pencils, visit our Sign up page.
