How to Draw Koala Bear's Fur

The Koala Bear Project really pushed the pastel pencils as far as they would go. For me the best part of the project was the ear, the way I do the fur can only really be described as a "twiddle" action, or as people called it back in the day "the bradley squiggle". You have to stick to the rule of building up from light to dark but not too much light otherwise the medium colours would look "sad" against them. The little squiggle action gives you this kind of control and the more experience you have of this, the better you'll become at it.
