Here are the Pastel Pencils you would need to draw this dog

Gabriele has sent us this photograph she is going to draw using Pastel Pencils. She asked:

Hi Colin and Steve,I am not sure what base colours I should use. Can you please give me some advise with the colours?Thank you very much!Warm regardsGabriele

max1As there is brown/ochre markings the greys used should be warm ones.I would use 270, 273, 175 and 199 using 182 or 180 for the ochre and a touch or 177 to add the brown. There will be more tones needed as the picture progresses but these will have to be selected then and not before. If anyone is not familiar with the colour numbers I have mentioned above, they are from the faber-castell range of pastel pencils and below is the colour chart for reference.[fusion_builder_container hundred_percent="yes" overflow="visible"][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type="1_1" background_position="left top" background_color="" border_size="" border_color="" border_style="solid" spacing="yes" background_image="" background_repeat="no-repeat" padding="" margin_top="0px" margin_bottom="0px" class="" id="" animation_type="" animation_speed="0.3" animation_direction="left" hide_on_mobile="no" center_content="no" min_height="none"]Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencil ChartIf you would like advice on what colours to use in your pictures, please become a member of our online school.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
